Mrs. Hughes’ journey merges entrepreneurship, family, faith, and a dedication to education. She began her career as an entrepreneur in 2006, and in 2018, decided to sell her business to spend more time with her family. This choice led her to realize her aptitude for teaching.

Now a first-year teacher at Bethany Christian School, she previously gained experience as a para-professional and long-term substitute. Her approach to teaching is influenced by her faith and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Particularly fond of the literacy block, she focuses on writing, grammar, and reading, aiming to foster creativity and understanding in her students.

Family life plays a central role for her. She has been married for 17 years and has three daughters, all attending BCS. They enjoy traveling and exploring the outdoors, often accompanied by their Golden Retriever, Marshmallow.
