Mr. Hughes is a first-year teacher with a unique blend of professional experiences that enrich his classroom instruction. Prior to his teaching career, he spent over two decades as a successful entrepreneur, launching businesses across diverse industries and business models. This wealth of real-world knowledge enables him to offer practical applications in his math classes.

Together with his wife, Mrs. Hughes, who also teaches at BCS, they are proud parents of three daughters. Originally from California, they spent 13 years in Idaho before relocating to Florida in 2023. During their time in Idaho, Mr. Hughes served as an elder in their church and helped lead the planting of a new church.

His role also includes teaching Bible classes at BCS, aligning perfectly with his passion for helping students understand how the Bible applies to their lives. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Hughes enjoys Bible study, reading, playing golf, and traveling. He holds a Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) certification, our accrediting agency.
