Ms. Johnston was born in Smithtown, Long Island NY. During high school, she took 3 years of child care. She moved to Florida in 1989. She has two boys, 29 & 27, the oldest currently serves in the U.A. Army and is stationed out of the USA. The other lives in New Hampshire. Ms. Johnston went to Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida where she received her Staff Credential (CDA) for early childhood education. She has been teaching for 20-plus years this year and it will be 8 years with BCS. She also holds an Early Teaching certificate from Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), our accrediting agency.
