Mrs. Johnston was born in Smithtown, Long Island, NY. During high school, she completed three years of childcare courses. She moved to Florida in 1989. Mrs. Johnston has two adult sons: the oldest is an Army veteran. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida, where she received her Staff Credential (CDA) for early childhood education. She has been teaching for over 20 years, and has been with BCS since 2015. She holds an Early Teaching certificate from the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), our accrediting agency.

Her life verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.”
