Biography

Mr. Hughes previously served BCS as the Director of Spiritual Development and as a secondary Bible and math teacher. In those roles, he led weekly middle and high school chapel services and helped students connect biblical truth to their everyday lives.

He also designed and built the websites for Bethany Christian School, Bethany Christian Preschool, and Bethany Church. He continues to manage these websites, which have become important tools for daily communication and operations, while also assisting the school with major technology and IT needs. Throughout the school year, he returns several times as a guest chapel speaker.

Mr. Hughes now serves full-time as the Director of Operations at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission, where God has called him to use his experience in leadership, operations, technology, and ministry. Although his primary role is now at CITA, he remains actively connected to BCS.

He and his wife, Mrs. Hughes—BCS’s Elementary Principal—have three daughters. Originally from California, their family spent 13 years in Idaho before relocating to Florida in 2022. Outside of work and ministry, he enjoys Bible study, reading, golf, traveling, and spending time with his family.
