Biography
Born in New York City, Mrs. Torres-Perez relocated to Ithaca, New York as a young mother, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Human Services. During her studies, she completed coursework in Early Childhood Development and Child Psychology, which sparked her passion for working with children and supporting families.
Her professional background includes serving as a Housing Assistant for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, where she worked with low-income families, as well as volunteering at local food pantries and with organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness. These experiences strengthened her commitment to serving others with compassion and advocating for those in need.
In 2023, Mrs. Torres-Perez moved to Melbourne, Florida, where she worked as an Assistant Teacher at a local preschool, a Substitute Teacher for Brevard Public Schools, and an After-School Leader. These roles further deepened her love for education and reinforced her desire to help children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Mrs. Torres-Perez is a proud mother of three wonderful children, two of whom attend Bethany Christian School. After losing her best friend to cancer in 2022, her faith in Christ became an even greater source of strength and purpose. She feels truly blessed to be part of the Bethany Christian School family and looks forward to partnering with students and families as they grow together in faith, learning, and community.
