Biography
Mr. Austin Shekell was born in Concord, NC, and moved to Melbourne when he was a young child. It was at Bethany Church where Austin received Christ as his Savior, was baptized, and received the call to give his life to the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A graduate of Bethany Christian School, Austin now serves as the Campus Pastor at BCS and the Youth Pastor at Bethany Church. He met his wife, Malea, at a youth conference and they married in May of 2021. In February of 2024, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Hynlee. They are also proud dog parents to two Labrador retrievers, Haddie and Oakley.
Austin has a passion for helping others experience the fullness of who Jesus is. His greatest joy is seeing people come alive in worship and grow in their walk with Christ.
