Biography

Bethany Hughes is honored to serve as the Elementary Principal at Bethany Christian School, where her love for children, heart for families, and commitment to Christ shape everything she does. Her journey into education was not a straight path—it began in the business world, where she owned and operated her own company for over a decade.

In 2018, Bethany made the decision to sell her business to focus on her growing family. That season revealed a new calling: education. She began by serving as a para-professional and long-term substitute before teaching fourth grade at BCS for two years. Her time in the classroom cultivated a deep desire to support students and teachers school-wide. Today, she leads with the same intentionality, warmth, and Christ-centered vision she brought to her students.

Family life plays a central role in Bethany’s story. She has been married to her husband, Chris, since 2006. He serves as the Director of Spiritual Development at BCS and teaches high school Bible and math. Together, they have three daughters who attend the school. As a family, they enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with their Golden Retriever, Marshmallow.
