Biography

Ms. Denise Calhoon is an ESE Teacher’s Aide who loves helping students grow in their hearts and minds. Born and raised in Florida, she enjoys spending time outdoors walking on the beach or exploring nature and finds joy in God’s creation.

Ms. Denise works to create a welcoming classroom where every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. She has experience with students of all abilities and believes each child is uniquely created by God with purpose and value.

Ms. Denise found Jesus in July 2024 and experienced a life-changing deepening of her faith in July 2025. Her walk with Christ shapes the way she teaches and interacts with students. She approaches each day with patience and compassion and sees her work as more than academics, using every moment as an opportunity to show God’s love and help students grow into who they were created to be.

Faith and family are at the center of Ms. Denise’s life. She enjoys being active in her church community, spending time with loved ones, and finding new ways to grow in her relationship with the Lord. Whether in the classroom or enjoying the Florida sunshine, Ms. Denise finds joy in serving others and helping students flourish.
