Serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, the elementary program at Bethany Christian School helps each student build the academic, spiritual, and personal foundation needed for lifelong success. Our teachers are not only highly qualified educators — they are also called by God to instruct, nurture, and guide every student with diligence and care.
Students thrive through a balance of academic excellence, biblical teaching, and intentional character development. Core subjects are taught using BJU Press, a nationally respected Christian curriculum known for academic rigor and biblical integration. Bible classes draw from Positive Action for Christ and Summit Ministries to help students apply biblical truth to daily life as they grow spiritually.
Preparing Students for a Changing World
The world our students will graduate into is changing faster than ever — many future careers don’t even exist yet. That’s why our STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) is designed to do more than just teach information. We are building students who know how to think critically, ask meaningful questions, analyze problems, and apply biblical wisdom to real-life situations.
Students engage in hands-on learning that sparks curiosity, builds creativity, and helps them develop the skills to explore, create, and solve problems with confidence. Our teachers incorporate STEAM concepts across the curriculum while keeping Christ at the center — helping students discover God’s world with both wonder and a biblical perspective.

Spiritual Formation & Biblical Worldview
Every aspect of student life at Bethany Christian School is intentionally designed to point students to Christ. In the elementary years, we lay the foundation for students to grow in their personal faith while developing a biblical worldview that shapes their thinking, decisions, and relationships.

Our Director of Spiritual Development works closely with teachers to ensure biblical truth is woven into every part of the learning experience. Elementary chapels are led by the Lead Pastor of Bethany Church, while the Student Pastor provides ongoing spiritual care and encouragement to students and families.
Specialized Learning Experiences
In addition to strong classroom instruction, Bethany Christian School provides a variety of learning experiences that enhance student growth, build practical skills, and spark curiosity in and beyond the classroom.
- Science Labs: Hands-on science experiments help students observe, explore, and apply scientific concepts in engaging, interactive ways.
- Technology Integration: Students build essential computer skills, develop safe and responsible digital habits, and work with modern tools to strengthen writing, research, and presentation skills.
- Creative Arts: Opportunities in art, music, and creative design help students express their God-given talents and develop an appreciation for creativity as part of God’s design.
