Biography
Mrs. Iris Denizac is a native New Yorker who retired from the New York City Department of Education after 33 years of serving students and families throughout East Harlem, the South Bronx, and Throggs Neck. Throughout her distinguished career, she served as an elementary teacher, science teacher and coordinator, assistant principal, director of bilingual education, principal, and adjunct professor. In 2015, she was honored as the Bronx Assistant Principal of the Year by the City of New York.
After retiring in 2016, Mrs. Denizac moved to the Dominican Republic, where she served as the director of a private bilingual school. She later devoted several years to caring full-time for her grandson, Ethan, who now attends Bethany Christian School. The Lord then opened the door for her to return to the classroom at Bethany Christian School, where she now teaches Secondary Bible, Math, and Spanish. Mrs. Denizac is passionate about lifelong learning and is committed to helping students grow both academically and in their walk with Christ.
