Mrs. Carpenter was born in Indiana and moved to the Melbourne area as a teenager. She met her husband, Loyde, while working at Harris Semiconductor (Intersil/Renesas), where she spent 19 years. After retiring from Intersil, Mrs. Carpenter joined Bethany Christian School in 2001, teaching intermittently until 2017. After a brief break, she returned and now works part-time in admissions. Her oldest son and daughter attended BCS for a short time, and her two oldest grandchildren graduated from the school. Currently, her granddaughter and great-grandson are BCS students. Mrs. Carpenter loves reading and spending time outdoors. She deeply values her family, but her faith in God remains her top priority. She holds a teaching certificate from the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), the school’s accrediting agency.
Her life verse is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
