Chelsey Nelson was born in California and raised in Colorado. An avid traveler, she has lived in 16 countries, including Finland. Chelsey loves the beach, the outdoors, and reptiles. She cherishes time spent with family and enjoys visiting theme parks. At home, she is a proud pet parent to two cats, Maple and Lucy.

Chelsey has a sweet tooth for chocolate and a preference for Coke or Cherry Coke. However, she is not fond of mushrooms, coffee, or spiders. Her favorite song is “Nearer My God To Thee,” and she often finds herself saying her favorite phrase, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

She is excited to begin her first year at Bethany Christian School, where she will serve as a 5th-grade aide and a middle school math teacher. Chelsey looks forward to sharing her love for learning and her faith with her students.

Chelsey’s life verse is John 14:16-18 – “‘And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.'”
