Dr. Steve Wynn was born in Savannah, GA, into a pastor’s home. As a teenager, he began to make his own plans for his life, even considering giving up on the One who loved him unconditionally. However, it became clear that the Lord had not given up on him and had a plan for his life. His genuine conversion took place on Thursday, March 1, 2001, during his school’s State Convention when the Holy Spirit gripped his soul.
Dr. Wynn has been involved in Christian education since 2003, starting as a teacher’s aide. In 2006, he graduated from Columbus Baptist College with a BA in Church Ministries and Secondary Education. Since then, God has used Dr. Wynn to serve in four different schools and start another school in Georgia. While serving as a teacher, he earned a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in Christian Counseling, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education, all from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary.
He has been married to his wife Karissa since 2012, and they have four children. Three of their children attend Bethany Christian School (BCS), and one is a 2024 graduate of BCS who now attends Eastern Florida University.
His life verses are Proverbs 11:30 – “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and one who is wise gains souls.”
and
Deuteronomy 6:7-9 – “And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up. You shall also tie them as a sign to your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead. You shall also write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
